Like him or not, Ward Churchill should probably not have referred to them as "nappy headed ho's"

The lesson here is that if you're a fraud, a lier, and a plagiarist, you'd be wise to not mouth off and call attention to yourself. Kind of like if you're going to speed, don't keep flashing your lights off and on. When you're guilty of the kinds of things Churchill is you shouldn't go out of your way to call attention to yourself.
But such is the arrogance of the far left that they think they can get away with anything by shrieking "oppression! discrimination!" at the tops of their lungs when caught with their hands in the cookie jar. From William "icebox" Jefferson claims that going after him for accepting bribes is "racist" to Churchill's rants, it's an all too common tactic. Unfortunately it works far too often.
This guy was a real piece of work. An A-number one specimen. I think even the L-people cringe when he opens his mouth. By calling all the attention to himself, the school had no choice. It reminded me of Clinton's antics which forced an impeachment proceeding. The congress didn't want to do it, but the crimes were so visible, they had no choice. Same with the Colorado administrators. They would have been happy to leave Churchill to be a marginalized hippy, but no, he had to become a celebrity. And it IS open season on celebrities these days.
Yeah, just as people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, people with careers built on lies and deceit should learn to keep their mouths shut and not attract attention to themselves. But then people who are suffering from such obvious cases of narcissistic personality disorder and borderline sociopathy obviously are so egotistical they need to keep pushing the edge of the envelope to make sure they get their fair share of attention.
