Jonah Goldberg, as usual, pretty much nails it in this article. Intelligent people talk about Freedom. Average people talk about The War. Small minded people talk about how "evil" George W. Bush is. Lets have our debates over ideas.

The civil war in Iraq has already begun, and every day the US military remains, the more hideous it becomes. Civilians are being targeted by both insurgents and Americans. Chemical weapons are being dumped on Iraqi villages. Saddam's prisons and rape rooms are doing land office business.
Redeploying US troops the hell outta Dodge is the only way to increase Freedom and decrease Evil.
Where DO you get this stuff? I can understand distancing yourself from the mainstream media, but you are definitely visiting an alernate universe posing as journalism.

Anonymous is right! Why, we should just get out as soon as possible and cut them loose! I mean, what's the worst that could happen? We cut an ran in Vietnam, and nothing bad happened! Unless you consider the fall of two governments to communist thugs and the resulting death of nearly 4 million people "bad."

You and your fellow travelers may have reached the point in life where you are ready to, as Roger Waters might say, "Amuse yourself to death," but not all of us have reached that plateau of dead ended defeatism. You'll have to excuse the rest of us while we decline your offer to become slaves to the Islamofacists, or actually care if people in Iraq are abandoned to a horrible fate of a return to a brutal dictatorship.
Contrary to what some seem to believe, the US military is not the cause of all evil in the world, in almost all instances it's the cure. The thing that really rankles is the way these leftist moonbats all act like they really care about the suffering of the Iraqis. Sure, you were so concerned you wanted to keep a murderous dictator in power. Don't even try to sit there with a straight face and whine that you are against this war because you are so "concerned" about the Iraqi people. Your narrow-minded, vitriolic hatred of Bush, Conservatives, Republicans, and yes, this country eat at the core of your being, leaving little or no room for humanity or compassion for anyone else.
