"As people do better, they start voting like Republicans - unless they have too much education and vote Democratic, which proves there can be too much of a good thing" -- Karl Rove
You see it in the NFL all the time. The best team in football tends to dominate in its time, with a solid quarterback, and a number of other top-quality players. When a quarterback makes this much difference (as Karl Rove must be doing), the defense has to find a way to stop him.
If the offense is set up properly, there's no way for the defense to stop the quarterback. So, the defensive line coach puts in a designated thug, whose job it is to break the quarterback's arm; and to bend the rules as necessary to do it.
So there we are with Wilson. He's the designated thug, that the democrats will sacrifice so long as they get their man.
They may get to the quarterback, but it's not clear where the penalty flags will fall.

"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance" -- Thomas Jefferson
I credit George W. Bush with having enough awareness to see the threat in Iraq and to doing something about it. Did you think that the fight would be any less costly in human and other resources, if we had waited another ten years to deal with it? We didn't learn anything from the trade center bombings of 1993, and what followed is history. That, my friend, IS the math.
We should all be thankful for the vigilance that led to this action.
Now, about Karl Rove: Last I saw he was still quarterback.
Ah yes, Karl Rove, the Democrat's personal boogyman, Dr. Evil himself. Why,the things he's done are amazing. He personally forged the CBS Memogate documents, and then convinced ol'Dan to run with them. He blew up the levees in New Orleans just so Haliburton would get richer. And he flew around the country resetting vote machines to make sure Bush won the last election. Is there no end to the abilities of this evil super genius?
So, what the Democrats are basically saying is that they are so completely incompetent that one sharp man, ONE, can completely defeat all of their plans. Seems to me they should think about what this really is saying about their self image.
I saw a bumper sticker today that said "Prosecute Karl Rove". I burst out laughing. This fool thinks that convicting Karl Rove is an answer to any of his problems. I'll bet he doesn't even believe in the law that Karl Rove is accused of breaking.
Funniest bumper sticker I've seen in years. Surprised it wasn't a ribbon magnet.
